We would like to suggest a few!
Tropea
A must-see during your holiday, Tropea is a symbol of the Tyrrhenian coast. Perched on a spur of rock, it stands out clearly against the sea. Legend has it that the hero Hercules on his way back from his long journey to the Pillars of Hercules founded the town. Here you can pass the time in the streets of the historic centre and make a stop at the Cathedral of Maria Santissima di Romania. Tropea's most famous and beautiful beaches are certainly the Spiaggia del Cannone and the Spiaggia della Rotonda.
Pizzo
Pizzo is another town belonging to the Coast of the Gods. It is of medieval origin and stands out on a rocky and sometimes sandy coastline. The historic centre of Pizzo is dotted with historical Baroque buildings, such as the Chiesa Matrice di San Giorgio. The Gioacchino Murat Castle is also worth a visit. Moreover, if you happen to be in Pizzo, take the opportunity to taste the "Tartufo", a typical hazelnut ice cream with a heart of delicious dark chocolate inside.
Zungri
An evocative and unique location is Zungri. Here you will find the famous Grotte degli Sbariati, a village built entirely of sandstone. The ancient settlement covers 3000 m² of caves and stone stairs. Next to the village, there is also a Museum of Rock and Peasant Civilisation, which displays jewellery from the ancestral fugitive civilisation that formed this unique place.
Scilla
The town of Scilla is a fascinating place, part of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy. This is because it rises sheer above the sea and the water, just like a miniature version of Venice, laps its houses.
The Ruffo Castle is worth a visit, to admire a unique view of the Aeolian Islands and the charming old town centre, which is especially beautiful at sunset, when the light dims and evening falls, rendering the village even more enchanting.
